Ruth Asawa SOTA SSC

A group of faculty, parents, administrators and students that provides oversight on a range of school issues and guides the Site Planning Process to ensure that the needs of all students are specifically addressed.

 

Each SFUSD school must have an elected School Site Council (SSC) to represent parents, students, community members, and school staff in the school governance process. The SSC has a number of important responsibilities, including: reviewing and analyzing student achievement data, gathering community input, helping develop the Balanced Scorecard/Single Plan for Student Achievement (BSC/SPSA) and the school site budget, and monitoring the implementation of the plan and budget.

Season Passes will be available for purchase this evening at Back to School Night.  Cash, check or credit card accepted.  

 
For those that already purchased, you can either pick up your passes this evening or they will be mailed to you starting tomorrow. 
 
Passes will be available for sale until October 1st.  You can purchase online or stop by the FoSOTA office to pick one up.

The shows haven’t even started yet, but there are already lots of opportunities to volunteer!

 

Kicking it off this weekend with a Volunteer Social.  Sunday from 4pm-6pm.  Have some fun and stuff goodie bags for our wonderful staff and teachers.  Click HERE to RVSP.
 
Back to School Night is just around the corner.  Monday, September 18th starting at 5:30pm.  New this year, admin is looking for help from our department liaisons (+ a few extra helping hands for the larger departments) to distribute student schedules for each department.  The PTSA board could also use some help with set up, merchandise sales and clean up.  Click HERE to volunteer.  Please note your department in the comments when you sign up.
 
Our first Beautification Day has been scheduled for Saturday, September 23rd!  Do you like to garden or organize stuff?  Join us!   Added bonus - students in IM can receive community service credit.
 
Unable to volunteer for any of the above?  Not to worry, there will be a lot more opportunities.  Sign up links are updated regularly on the PTSA website and on our volunteer page on school loop.  So check back often.
